A/D/S AW-4 Speakers

 A very fine pair of mini A/D/S speakers popped up and I had to grab them, I love products from A/D/S that use the Braun drivers from Germany. 

This Pair of A/D/S AW-4 speakers were paired originally with a Subwoofer and called the Campus System. AW-4 I thinks stands for All Weather 4 inch woofer. These have a plastic cabinet and drivers that are water proof.

 

These are by far the best sounding 4 inch mini speaker I have ever heard, the amount of bass is surprisingly deep, deeper that the Braun L200 that I featured last year. The throw on the woofer is pretty far so they really have great bass for their size

There is not much information on the internet on these speakers, if you come across a pair of these but them and enjoy their superb performance.

 

Visonik David 5001 speakers

Continuing with my recent German speaker finds of late is this pair of Visonik David 5001. Along with the Braun L200 and the Canton HC100's here is another fine German mini speaker.

 

This pair needed a refoam of course at this age of the speaker, and once done it represents the fine speakers that Germany put out in the 1980's.

 

 

 

After the refoam job, good for another 30 years.

 

 

Speakerlab SJ Speakers

Speakerlab SJ speakers, an interesting find as of late is the smallest of the Speakerlab speakers called the SJ. This is a 4.5 inch full range speaker in a small ported box with a super tweeter added for the highs. They claim these caould be used for a car, although they seem a bit big for that.

They do have a big sound and surprising bass response, along with decent highs from the paper cone.
