Luxman L-235 amplifier with T-240 tuner

The last of the good silver faced Luxman gear as the transitioned into a new company when they were bought by Alpine and left the higher end luxury market. This unit was the last of them from 1984.

70 watts per channel and seems to be highly regarded in the circle that follow Luxman. I have yet to audition this unit.

NAD 7045 Receiver

Another little project waiting in the wings is this NAD 7045 receiver, before NAD went stream line with minimal looks like this NAD 7130 receiver or this NAD 712 receiver.

This receiver still runs with the New Audio Dimension logo on the front and is reminiscent of the Silver faced receivers of the 70's, this unit is probably late 70's with a black face. 45 watts per channel with plenty of back up omph that NAD was known for.

It still needs a clean up and I look forward to pairing it up with the PSB Avante's at some point.

PSB New Avante Speakers

This pair of PSB Avante are also waiting in the wings, the New Avante was PSB most popular speaker and acclaims it was used by the CBC, the National Arts Centre, The National Research Council and various radio stations and recording studios here in Canada. Once again I have yet to audition these and look forward to hearing them.

Sound Dynamics R85 Speakers

Another speaker currently in storage is this pair of Sound Dynamics R85, these are in a nice Rose wood finish by the looks to me. This pair is good to go as the foams are still good. I have yet to audition these.

Boston Acoustics A150 Speakers

I have been digging through my locker space today, and figured I would post a few of the projects in waiting.

This beautiful pair of Boston Acoustics A150 MkII came my way. These still need to be refoamed, which I have the foams for. Nice Oak veneer and in perfect condition.

I look forward to getting these up and running on a tube amp.

Camber LS-1 Speakers

So in this Covid hibernation, the little speakers that have been doing duty is this pair of Camber LS-1 speakers. Camber is a Canadian manufacture of speakers and I have have a pair of their Camber 2.5 in the past.

This little pair sports a 6 inch woofer two way system in a sealed acoustic suspension box. These are perfect apartment/condo sized speakers and sound pretty good for my current living space.

These could have easily been a new $200 to $300 dollar speaker. In a small space hooked to a Single ended EL84 tube amp they sound great.
