Mission 700 speakers
A pair of original Mission 700 speakers arrived today, this set has already been re foamed and the cabinets are in excellent condition for their age.
The early Mission speakers are always welcome to the listening room/cave.

Acoustic Research AR-15 update
The Acoustic Research AR-15's are starting to get some attention since I brought them home. I managed to find the problem with one of the tweeters, it was a broken copper lead between the terminal and the voice coil. I delicately soldered in one strand of copper speaker wire and got it working again.
I filled the router holes with a saw dust glue mix, another round will be needed. I picked up a can of high gloss black paint to paint the front baffles. I added some extra poly fill and re glued the woofers surround in areas where it was uplifting. A foam ring was also added to the back side of the woofers to create a proper seal to ensure acoustic suspension.
I will wait for the weather to get nicer before I tackle the cabinets in full. I will also replace the 16uf cap to the tweeter when the cabinets are getting overhauled.
In the mean time I have been really enjoying these speakers and they sound absolutely stunning for a pair of 40 year old speakers.These AR speakers sound really nice. these will be sticking around for a bit I think.

Mirage of deep - Deep Flow
I like my Chill music and this album is one of the best to listen to, this album has everything, piano, Roland piano, female vocals, guitar, bongos, horns, I could go one but if you want a recording that will put every instrument in its place with complete airiness than this is it.
Audio Spec Perseus revisited
I have revisited my Audio Spec Perseus with the Myriad T-40 amplifier, these speaker have blown me away when placed near field, sure the bass is limited but the mid range and high end are phenomenal. They work well with the Myryad as the Myryad is a little more mid range forward.

Rotel RP-830
A little tribute to my Rotel RP-830 turntable. I have had this turntable since new when I upgraded from a Pioneer PL2 turntable shortly after buying my Rotel RA 840BX amplifier.
This turntable has always been outfitted with either a Mission 773 Cartridge or a Mission Solitaire cartridge.
